Traditions Aren't Always Best
We are firm believers that your wedding party should look and feel their absolute best on your wedding day. Traditionally, the bridesmaids have worn identical dresses, sometimes leaving them feeling quite ridiculous. Likewise, the groomsmen have worn the same color vest and tie (or cummerbund and tie) as the bridesmaids' dresses, sometimes leaving them feeling quite ridiculous.
If any member of your wedding party feels ridiculous, it may show in photos or video – the lasting memories of your wedding day. So, give them a break and allow the bridesmaids to choose a style of dress that they like in the color you want, and let the groomsmen wear a complimentary color vest and tie (or cummerbund and tie) if they don't like the color you've chosen for the bridesmaids' dresses.
